As we all know, Jeri showed off a modification of a Floppy Disk Drive that allowed her to record an analog input and play it back. However, it was not utilized for anything nor was the steps to emulate her documented.
THE CHALLENGE:
Take a Floppy Drive and transform it into an on the cheap guitar effects pedal.
THE SPECS:
1. The ability to record and playback automatically
After a full rotation the head steps down on its own and continues recording
After a user selectable ammount of rotations the head reverses direction and reads
2. The ability to modify the speed by use of a control knob
Turning the knob affects both the disk speed and the step speed of the head
This allows the user to control the delay
3. The ability to select the option to freeze the head
Pressing a toggle switch will stop the head from jogging making it loop the current part of the disk
4. The ability to overdrive the incoming signal allowing for track bleeding.
5. Placed all in a custom retro casing reminicent of an old 80s floppy drive
