We already have timer-controlled coffee makers. But what about the rest of breakfast? Let's have a timer-controlled waffles, too!
When the timer goes off in the morning, the machine will mix up some fresh waffle batter and squirt it into the waffle iron for cooking. The dry ingredients could be in a store-bought mix, but the egg will probably have to be fetched from a mini-fridge or something. When it's done, it'll dump the waffles on a plate.
It might be important to add indicators that tell you when to get more waffle ingredients.
Extras:
Rinses/Washes itself.
Puts butter and syrup on top.
Can make more than one serving. (For the spouse and kids.)
