We are starting up a RC car track and we would like a way to count and time the laps for each car. I was thinking about using RFID as they are low cost and small but we need the reader to cover the width of the track (1.5 meters) and be reliable enough to track cars travailing at high speed. As for the software i was thinking of a pice of software called FlipSideRacing found here as it is open source.I was also thinking we might be able to run the hole setupe on a Rasbery pi. I would love it if you could help with this project and if you have another ideas i would love to hear your impute.
