Laptop screen into monitor help

I have a laptop touch screen laying around because it broke down and wanted to use it as a second monitor for my pc. M NT68676 2A HDMI DVI VGA Audio LCD Controller Board DIY Kit Power adpater this controller board would do that and I know that my laptop fits the configurations, the only problem is that it wouldnt be touch screen. Is there anyway of making it so that it is possible to use the touchscreen also.

Generally that's not possible unless you have documentation for the touchscreen/controller, which you'd have to seek from the manufacturer of the touchscreen/controller, or you'd have to reverse engineer it, which isn't always easy either.

Is this worth US $51.19 to sped to get another monitor(maybe?) versus buying one for say $100 refurbished?
