Challenge: Forced Cool Pet Car Carrier

Hi "The Ben Heck Show"

 

We have a PetMate Pet Taxi for my miniature schnauzer that we use when transporting her in the car. We live in Georgia, and down here in the south we have hot summers and it takes time to cool the car. I have noticed that even after the car has cooled it takes a while for the inside of the Pet Taxi to cool down. This results in pretty hot dog (pun intended). I was think it would be cool to modify the Pet Taxi, so that (hopefully cooler) air is forced inside cools the inside of the Pet Taxi quicker.

 

I am sure you can think of ways to enhance this idea like pressure sensitive mat used as an on/off switch.

 

Hopefully this challenge is worthy.

    Perhaps you should work on this project yourself. It sounds like a worthwhile endeavour. Consider the fact that there are lavish pet daycare places, private airlines for animals, and ridiculous costumes. People will buy anything for their animals.

     

    Also consider making a heated one. Many animals die in regular passenger air travel in the cargo area.

     

     

    All you have to do is start with a mini-fridge.
