The "Tweet Heart?"

I don't know where exactly to post this, so I figured here is fine because I'm new. I want to make this for the girl I like in high school. But I can't find anything on it. No detailed instructions, no parts except for the led dispaly, the programing, or anything else. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

We kind of cobbled it together from several parts.

We had a PC client that got the tweets, then sent them via USB to an Arduino which sent them to the display.

So you basically need a display, and a way to get the RS-232RS-232 serial stream onto it.

I was going to post the source code for the PC client but recent changes by Twitter mean it wouldn't be possible to use it anymore. They've really cracked down on who can use the API's and what they can do with them. Twitter's long-term goal appears to be to get rid of 3d party clients as much as they can.
