I've been watching your show regularly for a couple years now, and have seen almost all of the episodes. I was driving home from work today, and thought of a neat idea for a 3D printer add-on.
The idea is to build on a spindle like piece on to something like the maker bot that houses multiple colored spools of extrusion wire, and can be automated by software to change to a different color during the printing process of a single print job; think of this like a color printer that is able to add mulitple colors to a page, but in this case the colors may not be added to get a different hue/color than what is on the spools.
