Wow! Thank you so much, Ben!
I know I'm new here but I had no clue you would be giving out the designs to this amazing concept.
I've been doing models of some figures lately for a charity auction, and having a dual headed printrbot based workhorse would have sped along the process emensely!
It's realy fun to know that the heads could be wired up that way and the board supports that power output. Your design could possibly also utelize what RichRap did for his Tri-Color printer, but it involves another logic board apparently.
Maybe its possible to wire in a switch er... with a regulator? That way if you only wanted to use 1, you could just flip the switch to dissable power to the 2nd motor and Hot End.
Sorry if I use the wrong terms, I dont know much about electrical engineering or programming hardware yet , the closest Ive gotten to logic like that is creating logic through pre scripted nodes inside of the unreal game engine.
I know the printrbot uses a heated platform, but would you be able to use two of those together side by side? or do you plan on just using half of an 8inch platform for each extruder?
Thanks again for the generosity and the amazing, entertaining, and informative show!
