After watching part 3 of the double decker 3D printer, I have one question. Why did you use two motors for the z axis when one motor, two years and a belt or chain drive would have worked just as well? With two motors, if one motor fails, the chance for damage caused buy uneven t travel of the print heads increases. With one motor there is only one part to replace instead of two.
Just a thought.

A lot of designs use 2 motors.
Basically, it's easier to add in a second $20 motor and wire it parallel (since it doesn't need much torque) than to mess around with a belt system which actually has a higher chance of error than 2 motors.

I cant get the files to open I dont have adobe illistrator can you publish it in a pdf file format
You can download the free trial version directly from the adobe website or just google for "adobe illustrator viewer" - There are plenty freewares online if you just want to open and see the files... Greeets, Max
