Game Console - Request

e14 Contributor

Dear Ben,

I always wanted to build my own game console.

Not with own games but computer games and a own operation system,

and a nice case and all that stuff.

But i dont know where to start and i cant find any site...

Thanks !

  • Building a small PC into a console size case is easy enough. You can get a mini-ITX motherboard or similar for the hardware You might even be able to use a Pi.

The hard part is the custom OS. So you want to start buy finding someone who has the knowledge and skill to program a custom OS that will run PC games. Chances are you could find some sort of hacked OS based off Win XP.
