Radio shack provides kits to get kids into electronics but after taking the next step it gets hard to get and buy parts from. I always have to ask one of my parents so I could use there card to get something online but this option is not always avable to me forcing me to go to radio shack and pay a lot of money just to get small and cheap components.

you can get one of the prepaid credit cards/debit cards and use it for online orders, stay away from ordering just one part at a time shipping will eat up money quickly.

I get a lot of parts from broken electronics that my friends and family give me. It may be hard to find the parts you are looking for, but if you look hard enough you can find basically everything.

I've actually only went in radioshack once. It was very unproductive as I didnt buy anything. All I wanted was a female USB connector for my battery ipod charger, and they told me they didnt have any. Waste of a trip.
