Now that we have seen the PS4 controller it would be awesome for you to build one before it comes out for real.
Using a Teensy (http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/) you can build a controller/mouse combo device for the PC.
Parts List:
Teensy (or teensy++)
Touch-pad from a laptop (others have done that http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/projects.html)
Standard thumb sticks
Standard switches
Gyroscope/accelerometer ( as close to move as we can get really )
3d printed case
The software is trivial (http://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_joystick.html) but I will write the software if you would rather concentrate on the fabrication.
