I'd love to see a build of a glove with bend sensors in the fingers and thumbs and an accelerometer on the back of the palm attached to a way to interpret the gestures into letters and words. Ideally this could conntect via Bluetooth to be used with a Raspberry Pi as a moble input device, so battery powered or USB for input and power, which is constraining but possibly doable. Initially I'd like to see the ASL alphabet programmed into it but something that could learn whole words would be nice too.
Why learn chorded key entry when there's already a set of hand genstures for data input in ASL?
