Hello,
first of all I have to say that I really enjoy every episode of TBHS.
It would be great to have a piece of hardware, that would fit on a U-Rail within a modern fuse box and could be remote controlled to switch relais.
By having something like that it would become possible to connect the existing power-supply within the fuse box with the relais and therefore be capable to control the power-supply remotly eather within the local network or even over the internet.
The central element within this hardware would be something like an raspberry-pi with wifi enabled and a set of relais attached somehow to the gpio ports.
An housing that fits on the u-rail of the fuse-box could be printed on a 3d-printer.
There should be some software within the raspberry-pi that has an web-interface and can be used over the lan/wan from a different computer to controll everything.
The userinterface/software can provide simple switches to set things on and off only or even more complex controls, like time scheduling or even be event-driven (e.g. if a ping comand to pc doesent respond, switch off the power from that machine for 120 seconds and than switch it on again).
Hope you find that idea interesting.
Best regards
Stefan
