Id love to see Ben take a GoPro waterproof housing and create a way to connect an external mic and battery while still maintaining waterproof capability. I was able to use a BackPac backdoor, pop out the button and run a battery eliminator through the button hole but am still stumped on how to connect to the mini usb port and get the wire out cleanly to connect a mic. or better yet, could a better mic be built into the backpac backdoor that would give better sound?? Heres a pic of what ive done so far for the battery ( i use a Newtrent portable battery with USB ports so i can plug in this battery eliminator. I can video for hours on end without having to stop and change batteries. Help with the sound Ben! lol
