Gamecube Portable!!!

I have been watching a lot of Ben Hecks videos lately and I have an idea. A Gamecube portable, but with a twist! So here is my challenge!

 

Okay so here's the twist! its made from a Raspberry Pi and it runs off of Dolphin, which is a Gamecube emulator. Also to get roms you plug in an SD card with the roms on it.

 

I would personally think it is awesome if Ben did that, and I think its a pretty good idea.

  • I like the enthusiasm but I regret to inform you that the Raspberry Pi is not powerful enough to run the Dolphin Emulator.

    The Dolphin Team recommends a strong CPU (i5 or i7) and GPU (Nvidia or AMD) along with 2gb of ram and requires a 64bit operating system.

     

     

    Raspberry Pi only has 256mb of ram with the Model A, and 512mb with both Model B and B+. (Which is also shared with the GPU)

    Even using Model B or B+, it would only have 1/4 of the recommended ram to run Dolphin.

    That is not including that they run a ARM1176JZF-S core 700 MHz CPU and a Broadcom Videocore IV 250 MHz GPU.


    The Raspberry Pi is simply just not strong enough to emulate using Dolphin.
