depends on what you are using it fore.
if this is what your working with, than, from this view, you can use as an example.
left post +5v
right post GND.
And middle/top post would bee your sweeping post, all the way left should give you +5v, all the way right should be 100ohm.
let me know if this helps. but, if you must, the left and right posts are interchangeable, depending on how you wish the POT to work.
I.E. if you placed +5v on the right post, and GND on the left, the sweep will be backwards. in this case turned all the way clockwise, this pot will give +5v, and counter clockwise, it will give 100ohm.
