Ok so this is a little out of the norm.... and a little out there.. though it's hacking / reverse engineering ish... I watch your show alot and really just looking for a direction and have no idea who to ask lol....... But anyways I'm attempting to help a friend out, he's building a race car and the goal is to run a chevy ls1 engine-ecu in a nissan 350z while retaining the factory gauge cluster.
Im trying to build a can bus converter that would allow the chevy ecu to communicate with the Nissan can network (gauge cluster, ac control module, etc) .. I have no idea where to start on this project.. I have a the normal automotive knowledge background of can bus with some microcontroller experience and a little programming .... but that's it's so far
I appreciate any help and or information regarding this.
