DVD Repair Machine

Question

I am trying to make cd repair machine but struggling to get it to remove the scratches off the play side of disc. Any ideas will be very helpful thanks Ben

I use automotive paint-scratch repair compound and some cotton cloth to buff the DVD surface with the compound.

Maybe you could mount the DVD on a motorized platter to make it a bit easier, but I buff in different directions depending on the type of scratch.

It may be better to use a standard motorized buffing device.

Any speed can work, but you may want to gear the motor down to get more torque. Electric drill comes to mind.
