Intel Mac / Macintosh Classic Mod Build

Hey, I have an idea I would love to see you try out. How about taking the case of an old Macintosh Classic (1984-1990), and modding current-gen Mac components into it? Say for instance, the innards of a Mac Book/Pro/Air, screen from an old G3 or G4 MacBook (For the size)? Seeing as how new Macs have no dvd or external drives, you could even preserve the Classic Mac's floppy slot. What do you think?

I had this same idea.  Thought it also may be neat to instead take the Classic, give it a brand new shiny LED screen and make it a hackintosh.

Grab an one of those and hook up an iPad display, pretty much perfect size and high dpi (Retina).

I'm confused what does this have to do with creating a hackintosh with OS X on a Classic?

give it a brand new shiny LED screen

It's pretty much the perfect size screen for a Classic build.
