This there a way to turn a tablet into a raspberry pi screen?

Question

Hello, im trying to get a raspberry Pi screen for free by using some old cheap tablets for it but idk if it's possible to do so. I have placed photos of the tablets in the attachments that i'm using for this, one is a next book while the other is I'm guessing a coby2 or something. So can anyone help me on this please

this would be a a yes and no awnser. sorry, the connector will fit but the pi would not out put to it or even yo be able to run the touch screen. Have you thought about just sending the data to the tablets by screen casting? There should be a way to achieve this under Linux. I am not a Linux person but have dabbled a bit. Run a screen cast server on the tablet and the client on the Pi. Might work at a push. Warren.

Ahh so the tablets you have do not work? That makes sense then. Are you trying to interface JUST THE DISPLAY to the Pi? If this is the case you will need a lot of info on the Display used on each tablet and possibly have to write your own driver for it.

If you can determine what type of chip drives the display, you might be able to use something like this: for LTN154BT02 B154PW04 1440x900 Controller Board(HDMI+VGA+DVI+Audio+Earphone) (example for LTN154BT02 chip). HDMI out on the Pi to HDMI in on the controller board.
