CCS/CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL: Unable to get temperature data from ADS1118 using Energia and CCS

Energia returns an error "Cant compile for boardCC3220" .So we are unable to get temperature data from ADS1118 . We are also facing same issue in CCS V7.3 with SDK downloaded for CC3220  . We have succesfully done temperature logging with Arduino MAX6675 and k type thermocouple . We just want to get temperature data from a ktype thermocouple via ADS1118 and print to Serial . Please help ! tHANKS in advance!!

You'll need to post  a complete description of your set up before any one can help you much.

What boards are you using and what can you get working on them.

We are using TI's CC3220SF-Launchpad interfaced with 430Boost-ADS1118 Boosterpack I need to display temperature sensed from a K type Thermocouple connected in ADS1118 Boosterpack The CC3220SF launchpad is responding to the program But ADS1118 is not responding It also not displaying anything

At first you said the code wouldn't compile, now you say the ADS1118 "is not responding. It also is not displaying anything...."

I think you mean the "430Boost-ADS1118 Boosterpack" is not displaying anything but you need to describe, in detail, with diagrams how these things are connected and what code is running where.

Dear Michael , We have already done a similar project (Web server) for logging and visualizing temperature using Arduino , ESP8266 and MAX6675 using a ktype thermocouple , But we were asked to do the same thing using TI board . Our problem is that we cant upload our the particular Sketch to the MCU (Error shown as above mentioned) , Basic codes are uploading and working fine , We just want to get the temperature data from the ADS1118/Thermocouple and print it to serial (serial monitor) , This is the code that we have used

    ADS1118 Thermocouple BoosterPack | Energia

The Red board is CC3220SF Launchpad and The green Board is ADS1118 Boosterpack....

Does it work if you try the simplest example for talking to the ADS1118 board (like on the link you sent) ?

No , that's not working , But we are able to upload basic sketches like printing "hello world" or "blink led" etc , the problem that  is we cant access the ADS1118 , But that code in the link is provided by TI itself for getting temperature data from ADS1118 , we dont know why its not working image Is it because CC3220 doesnt support ADS1118 ? But they (TI Forums )said if the pins are matching then we need not worry , and the pins are exactly matching , Any Suggestions ? By the way ,thanks for the quick response! image

I can't think of anything right now, perhaps people who know the Energia environment better might be able to make suggestions.
