Viewer Challenge- Monster home entertainment unit?

Ok,

How about this.  If everyone out there is like me they have a plethera of home entertainment devices cluttering up their living rooms, bedroom, or where ever.  In my living room I have a ps3, xbox 360, wii, and a HTPC.  This problem is BEGGING for a solution!  What if we could somehow combine all these into one SUPER computer tower.  How awesome would that be to be able to have just one box in your living room to; Play Zelda, get bored, play halo, get bored, play GT5, get bored, pop in a blu ray, then cap it off with a nice internet time killing excperiance on element-14.com.  This would be the coolest thing since the lines in V-ICE's hair...remember that?

It would be possible but I don't see much of a point.

You could do the same thing by setting the systems side by side.

If you are dead set on making this, it will be BIG.

    BIG BIG BIG!

You are going to need plenty of space, fans, and venting, otherwise the systems *caugh* Micro$oft *caugh* will overheat.

You would have to build your own case with a CNC for starters, and have all of the main boards laying on the side of the case. Each and every one, and you don't want to put one on one side and one on the other, or you risk heating issues.

Each also would have to have it's own seperate drive, which would also take up a lot of room.

So after looking ar your 5 foot case (exaggerated) it really is not worth it.

Just plug your systems into a switch box...

You would still have to turn each and every system on and off with the monster tower unless you want it to be a HUGE energy hog.

I really suggest that you do not do this.

    Sorry bud

That would be nice considering my monster system consist of (2) PS3 (1) 360 (1) WII (1) DREAMCAST (1) PSX (1) XBOX (1) N64 (2) SEGA SATURN (1) ATARI 2600 (1) NES (1) Colecovision, and a consolized arcade system but as Myskill says it really is not worth it. I have all my systems sitting on open glass shelve's but good luck with trying that monster box out.

you really dont need to do any mods for this all you really need is a HDMI switcher you can usually find them between 4-6 inputs there probably is a larger one if you need it and most have a remote to switch which one ur using

    That Yoshi's Boxx is awesome.

I think the noise alone on this build would be huge unless you were going to cool each CPU/GPU by means of a water block....

Could be interesting to see a viewer build one, see how it turns out...

    Go for it dude!
