I have seen linux xbox installs. Some use Softmod and some use a chip. Question to chip or not to chip?
I highly doubt that you could do a true dual boot, but you could do a Virtual Machine. It just wouldn't run very fast or be usable for most applications. Just use linux, most things you can do with windows you can do with linux.
i actually want to run xbox software on my laptop so i can play xbox games on my pc
i dont want to run windows7 on the xbox
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Unless you do some heavy coding, no. I don't think that it is possible because of the fact that the xbox uses a custom BIOS. This is the reason why you have linux installs on the xbox. It is also the reason you have to flash a new BIOS to the chip 24c02 eeprom on the xbox or have a chip that loads a custom Bios image via the LPC debug port
