Who's at the door?

Former Member

How about this senario, Ben?

Scene: Ben's on the couch playing video games on his XBox360. There is a knock at the door.

Ben: (sitting on the couch) Who is it?

Another knock

Ben (gets up and and walks to the door and calls again): Who is it?

Once again there is a Knock. Ben is a little upset that he had to stop playing and awnser the door. When he opens the door a Great White Sharks Swims towards him to eat him.

End of the dream sequence.

My idea is to use the new Android/Arduino development kit to make a web based app that will allow you to check on your phone who is at your front door using a small camera in the peephole.

Actually you can do this a lot easier by getting a mini spy cam off of ebay that is wireless then you just hook it into your wireless network or into your tv what ever you choose.  Then you just log onto the ip from your phone.

yes but since Ben already has the development kit I figured why not use it.

Your way would work to but I only just started using the Arduino so for me my suggestion would help me learn more about how to use it.image

Oh okay you want to use arduino.  Well you need some sort of camera linked to a reciever that then would connect to the development kit.  Next that would plug into the phone.  So I do not know how to wirelessly connect the dev kit to the camera.
