material for xbox360 laptop etc

i wonder what material you/he use for you projects i mean that black wood material but i think it is not wood but i am not sure about that

can you help me beacouse i want to build a custum case for my htpc .

Chris is correct. It's great stuff I've built a lot of things from it. Also, unlike wood, you can screw into sheets sideways without them splitting as plywood does.

The material is Expanded Foam PVC. Sold in a variety of colors, thickness and shape. Its often found under the brand names Sintra and Komatex.

Its a great material because it has properties of PVC but is also very easy to machine. Most plastic suppliers can sell it, its generally more expensive than wood.
