My First Build

Question

Hy Ben, i'm from italy and i've a challange for you... i really love to run... but i've also some heart issues, so i must mesure my heartbeat ... i think that maybe is it possible to hock up a display to an arduino (maybe pro mini) and an heartbeat sensor possibly like a cardioband and not a clip ... can you help me?

It shuould be portable ... thank you a lot

There are lots of cheap options out there so any custom solution would probably be a lot more bulky, expensive, and not work as well.

Great... i already have it, the arduino one was an idea for do it by myself i'm working for it and for now it is work fine i've reached a module that can comunicate with the polar heartbeat band but was mounted on a breakout board... now i've found only the module and it works fine... the accurancy is the same that the heartbeat i've bought... this project is awsome... So thanks a lot guys for all your suggestions...
