Arduino to Display Email subject line on 16x2 LCD or Scroll on a 16x16 LED

I would like to send new Email subject line(Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail...etc) to a 16x2 LCD or a 16x16LED from a Arduino with Ethernet shield. I would like it to scroll the new email subject lines until they are read. If possible I would like to have the subject line scroll on a LED sign that could be seen from across a room.

Any Takers, I have built a scrolling LED sign but do not know how to get python to grab the email subject line and display it on the LEDS.

with the caveat that yahoo "only" allows imap for mobile phones. so you will have to do some bullshittery with their protocol to get it running on a desktop.

If youre trying to hire someone to do this for you, my rate is $120US per hour. Id say this would take me 1.5 hours in your choice of language.

you could always just use Gmail which supports imap and pop3. These librarys should work for you, but you may have to google some settings for Gmail's imap.
