The other way around, handheld to console

Hey,

 

To be honest I don't know anything about programming, modding, hacking at all. So forgive me if this is a stupid challenge.

 

So I was thinking, you always see people transforming consoles to handhelds, or portable machines. But would it also work the other way around? you know just for the fun of it?

 

Could a gameboy, PSP, DS and so on be made into a console that I can use on my TV?

 

Forgive me again for not contributing anything to this forum but a challenge.

    The modifications  would require extensive hardware modifications, and would put out a terrible resolution. There is a reason that portable consoles are portable, its because they are smaller and as a result dont have good hardware specs. This makes a screen being very hard to make, because the resolution would have to be the exact same res as the old device, so for all intents and purposes it is impossible
