PS2 laptop

I'm thinking about a PS2 slim laptop... Most of it would be "easy" to assemble, based on Ben's  console to laptop builds.

But there is a tricky part that is annoying me... I thought of replacing the PS2 slim DVD drive with an old (yet new) laptop DVD drive I have.

PS2 uses two flex cables to connect the DVD to it's board, one for the drive motor and another for the disk reader module.

Any ideas on how to adapt it? I looked for adapters but couldn't find one.

Consoles can only use the DVD drives they came with.

Trying anything else is a waste of time and materials.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! image

I was afraid you would say that, Ben. Thanks anyway for the answer. It saved me some $$$.

I think I'll have to come up with a solution for the top lid in the laptop case.
