I have watched some videos on 3d stereo lithography such as this one:

I was wondering if you would ever develop something like this using a raspberry PI?
I think the resolution would be far better than most 3d printers as you yourself have stated you spend a lot of time sanding on current offering models.
it would be cool to just upload files from auto desk 123 into something like this to make castings.
