Hi all,

Is it possible to load the Arduino Boot-loader into an ATtiny44 u Controller ?

I just watch the "How to Build an AVR Development Board" in which Ben Loader an ATMega with Arduino boot-loader

Am working a a project I intend to use the Attiny44 u controller so am researching best way forward

    Hi,

Googling ATtiny44 and Arduino reveals the information in the first two hits. The short answer is that it is programmable via the IDE, but no, no bootcode will be programmed since the ATtiny44 is literally too tiny to handle an additional bootloader.

If your code is about 2 kbytes you could load a boot loader, Arduino boot loader is just 2 Kbytes so yo still have 2 Kbytes for program

    Hope this helps-Code switcher

It may be possible to use with any chip. If no, try the arduino forum and check this forum as well

-Code switcher (not same as the one above)
