technoscrap challenge

Hi there

I´m Clemens, Tinkerer from Austria and I´ve got an Idea for the Ben-Heck-Show!

From time to time i order "Suprise" boxes from different retailers of electronic supplies or from ebay etc. To the most people the parts in these boxes, seem like junk ,but actually I found cool uses for most of the parts I received. Even for old DDR/soviet IC´s and TV-parts.

It is a hard challenge to get all the parts together for a cool project, without using many added new components, But it´s even harder to figure out a project based on random parts you get sent from strangers.

So how about a Technoscrap-Challenge:

The Rules:

1.Ben gets a Box full of old random Technoscrap,

(maybe submitted by viewers ( I could name a good source for such a package for just a few bucks ;-) )

2.The whole concept of the project has to be based on the parts found in the Box.

3.Ben should use as less new parts as possible for the project. ( But I´m sure Element14 would provide the needed Parts)

4. The Casing should be made, mostly of things found in the Box or recycled / reused Material.

And just to show off here is my last years project:

Making a Modern Bike Old - BikeHacks

This project featured upcycling and reusing old Stuff too.

Making Walkies-Talkies or (generic) radio transmitter/receiver out of old TV parts image would be awesome but quite challenging.
