avr board

Hey Ben, i was wondering if you could share your avr development board with us. I would like to use it for my personal hobby electronics as i occasionally get atmega48's on burned up motor controllers and would like a simple solution for reusing these ic's.

He showed a tutorial to build a devolepment board. The following should be connected MISO, SCK, MOSI, reset to the ICSP programmer. You will be better off watching Sir Ben Heck's videos. The only thing that will be different is theselecting the chip number.

It would be great to get an eagle cad file of his recent board he has been using as i am just a beginner to eagle cad. The atmega 48 ic's i get are surface mount comparable to what is on my arduino pro mini.

You can use any schematic and just replace the chip for your chip in the diagram. For examlpe, take an arduino uno diagram. all you have to do is connect atmega48's MISO, SCK, MOSI, reset instead of the uno's MISO, SCK, MOSI, reset and you are done(only for programming, not using IO). You can right programs in AVR studio. If you want to use it like an arduino, you may have troubles and not recommended. Best to use it as an plain devolopment board.

I don't know if it will work with smd's.

As your part of smd, I recommend routing a PCB or buy fabricated PCB's(note the fabricatedones can be huge). You can have them like 1) and have them pulled out to program/run programs

I'm just going to have to go with my original idea of stripping some fat off a pro mini schematic and just placing my atmega 48 in place of the 368,  as far as i know they are comparable pinouts. I just liked his layout and i know it works cuz he is using it. I have already proved i can program the atmega48 as it sits on the burned up motor controllers they come on with the miso, moci,cs,clock lines and make some indicator lights flash alternately.

Then I think you are ready! You can ask if there are problems.
