Looking for advice. Xbox 360 controller.

Former Member
Former Member over 11 years ago

I have one hand and i am looking to make my Xbox 360 controller a little more suited for myself. The problem i have is with the left trigger and bumper. While playing games, I need to pull the left trigger or bumper, but lose the ability to move the left analog stick (Gamers know what happen when you stand still). So i was wondering how i would be able to move the left trigger and bumper to the right side where i would be to use another finger. Thank you

the process is similar in any kind of controller. opening testing rewiring relocating testing closing.

maybe you can find specific tutorials if you look for xbox 360 mods

It is possible to move both, albeit the triggers are a little more complicated to move than the bumpers.

I am unfamiliar with the internals of the Xbox One controller, however if it uses similar components to the it's predecessor, than it would be using 10k potentiometers for the triggers and tact switches for the bumpers. Ben Heck did an episode on both a one handed Xbox 360 and Xbox one controller however.

I have had a friend in real life a few years ago who was an amputee. He would simply use his nub (for lack of better words, I apologize if this term is offensive as I do not know the proper terminology) to control the left joystick and use his leg/knee for the bumper and trigger. Although this is a little more difficult, he was actually really good at shooter games, if not better than the average player.
