PC in a console?

So a friend of mine has a PS3 Test console which he pulled apart after he got a PS4. I was looking at it and thought that I might be able to get a mini ITX motherboard and other small sized pc components into the case with out too much hassle. Before I start anything I have 2 questions...First I was wondering if anyone had done this or something like this before and second, and this is the main reason I'm posting this here, is there any way to connect the console's I/O to power on the system?  Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. image

    I suppose you could just resolder the io from the mobos and then just the console io to the pads on the PC mobo. Ben has done this in most of his portable consoles when he relocates ports. If you really want to try this, please try to find a broken console instead of damaging a test unit. I know of at least one museum that would happily accept a test console.
