The Rasberry PI wont boot with cupcade (MAME Project)

I want to make a portable console just like you did, but i cant get The cupcade 5-13-2014 with NES booting.

I tried using Rasbian and it worked just fine. I want to know if you used any special version of the image and if so, could you please tell me where to get it?

I would love any help...

What version of raspberry pi do you have? Cupcade isn't compatible with the raspberry pi B+ or 2.

gadget.iom is correct. No problem if this is not V1 Model B and not the B+. Forget the Pi 2 as well for same reason as the B+. Following https://learn.adafruit.com/cupcade-raspberry-pi-micro-mini-arcade-game-cabinet?view=all will give you the correct version of Cupcade to download.
