Multi console hard drive

twilightgamestress

Im hoping someone on here could help me out, I'd like to format a 10tb hard drive in such a way to duplicate a ps3, ps4, Xbox 360, and xbox one to each their maximum compacity limit, and with the rest of the computer being a windows desktop that runs steam, origin and uplay.  I also want to be able to stream gameplay via obs from any console without obs shutting down on me and of course be able to see chat and everything.

Is this possible in any way?

I'm hoping maybe Ben Heck could do a tutorial video on this, or anyone for that matter, if it's possible.

are you asking if you can make virtual PS4 (or what ever game consol) on a hard drive and turn your computer into a PS4 (or whatever game consol)? From what I have seen no you can not create virtual game consol, mostly because there software is propitary and they don't give out the source code.

To OBS your best bet would be ask on there forums since someone there would be more familiar there with it.

I know you can duplicate them using something called Ubuntu,  I've seen someone do it with an Xbox one on youtube, they were trying to put it on a 4tb ssd, but it would only format 2tb, I was just wondering if you can duplicate multiple console drives on the same hard drive.  You might be right about the ps4, but I've seen it done to an Xbox one.

Okay now I know what you are talking about, what he is doing is replacing the hard drive in the system with a bigger and working hard drive.  You can not run that drive on a computer because of proprietary software and how the drive needs to be formatted. You also could not create a partitions on a external hard drive then just plug it into each machine to use it do to the fact that the Consol will look for a specific partition such as a C drive and if it don't find the proper software on the drive it will not boot. Also Ubunto is a operating system in the Linux OS (which there are many differnt ones including Fedora, Raspien, and Redhat along with Ubunto) what he used to clone the drive is a program called Clonezilla. Does that help?

Yeah it does a little, so what your saying is that even if it would boot you couldn't partition each one to have multiple softwares on them?

I think I have a work around though,  I might be able to use the subscription services on both consoles with out owning them physically via their pc applications.

The computer apps do not run the software thats on the machines so no it will not work. When they were deigned the software was designed specifically on the machine, the xbox app plays a generic version of the game you might own but will not reconize any game data from the hard drive.
