I was thinking it would be interesting to look at the various iterations of the (new) 3DS / 2DS and see if getting video out to an external port (HDMI or other) for the top screen would be feasible. I know there are modifications out there that allow recording and USB out of the video for streaming and capture. I am thinking of just sending the video signal of the top screen to an external source and leaving the bottom screen the same (since it handles input) would be an interesting project. Not all games would work well with this but it would be interesting to treat the console as a controller of sorts and hook it up to an external display. I am sure there are many ways to go about this but I thought I would share the idea! I would love to be able to share the stories of my 3DS games when I am home!
Notes: Low Resolution Screen, Sending a 2D signal?, Wired/Wireless to external source, Video Upscaling (using another processor?), Unknown form-factor.
Love BHS and am interested to see what others think of this idea or any progress already made that is documented for the community.
