Hi all,
I've been working on a project recently & have had my soldering iron on for long periods of time, and have experienced issues with the iron tip going black & no longer taking solder, which is apparantly called dewetting. I've been reading about various hints for avoiding this and thought it might be a good idea for an episode; run through different types of soldering irons (temperature regulated/ non-temperature regulated) and their advantages/ drawbacks, and good practise for looking after your iron, things to do/ avoid doing etc.
Could tie in accessories such as sponges/ coiled wire cleaners previously mentioned here
