Saw the first episode and came up with my own version
Was going to 3D print a case but found this and though it was perfect.
BTW that screen is really nice, found it on Amazon sold by iuniker.

I have a PSPi v4 from Othermod which is great. But there are a few things I would like to have added. So I was happy to find Ben making this. I was looking for some other videos on YouTube and came across yours too. I purchased a GamePlayer X9 and have most of the parts and am going to do some modifying of that to allow a nice Vita slim style Pi0 portable.
If done right you can solder everything to perf board. You don't need a special PCB, 3D printed case or anything. Just standard components and reuse a few parts on the original GamePlayer X9 motherboard. Only thing that I'm having trouble trying to do is to add L2,R2,L3,R3 buttons. I might just forgo those for now.
Features possible:
5" 800x480 screen
dual analog sticks (if you relocate Vol+/Vol- keys)
Easy access to removable MicroSD cardStereo speakers (if an additional speaker is purchased only has 1, but has a holder and vents for a 2nd)
