Hey there,
My name is DJ Harrigan and while I'm new to the Element14 community, I'm no stranger to the maker community! I picked up an Arduino ten years ago and I've never looked back. I'm deeply interested in fabrication, design, and electronics while sharing knowledge and providing inspiration to others.
For my gaming build, I'm planning to make a system that you can wrap around your wrist and unfold into a rigid handheld device. While wearable electronics have faded away from consumer trends, I enjoy making them and find that people respond more to things they can wear. Will it be bulky and impractical for daily life? You betcha. I'm a huge fan of the Fallout franchise, so I'm going to be artistically borrowing elements to make this a more Pip Boy-ish build. I wonder if I could get one of the original games to run on a Pi...
