Great video Dave, so glad you got the cartridge reader working in the end, I love that idea. How long does it take to dump a game?

Huge bummer about the color-matched PLA not working out. Filming in different locations really made the video interesting. Also, that's a very clean 3D print. Awesome build!

I didn't run into that problem with my TFT breakout board (my enable pin is just floating), I wonder if there is something different with your board cold joint or missing resistor?  I panicked my self about half way through and bought some extra screens and TFT breakout boards, parts to perfect the next one right.  I was going to say something but wasn't sure how attached to the grey you where, but the switch neon colours are really awesome.

thanks! Yeah naming stuff usually isn't that easy, but I call my ESP8266 handheld LAME BOY, so since this was mostly a "vanity" project, I thought FAME BOY would fit nicely.

hehe, I like to add little things like that image I'm a bit sad that there was no time for another HeckGyver sketch though, so I was happy about the last minute "sun mum" idea image there's a lot that I've learned from this video and I would do a ton of stuff differently. Hope you had some fun too along the way, even with the busted N64 consoles.

something like that always happens to me image If I had known about the ON/OFF state then I would have seen quickly that the colors weren't right, this way I found it by checking every connection I've made.

The cartridge reader was the key feature of the build for me, I've neglected to focus on other things instead image that's why the sound situation is a bit wonky and the power switch isn't working like I'd would have want it to work. A lot of things to upgrade still, but I already have bought spare parts because I thought I broke the screen etc.

The colour scheme was a happy accident, before that I was going for DMG gray - but you probably know that after watching the video image
