Having been inspired by your recent Internet Radio Boombox, I have an old Sharp Trimate 2000 with a flat-lined 9" B&W CRT. The tube is shot but everything else works, including the UHF/VHF tuner (I still get sound on some local UHF channel). I was wondering what a good replacement LCD would be to update it with as I want to use it to run a NESBerry or something similar and still be able to use the old tuner and tape deck as an input. There is plenty of room inside the case (even with the CRT still in it) so I would like to keep everything internal and move the LCD's unused ports to the old antenna cut-out on the back of the machine.
Any suggestions on decent/cheap screens would be appreciated, as well as any tips for removing the CRT safely.
Thanks,
-Wes
