Which gyro to buy?

Hey everyone I am a young diy'er and I'm building a drone, but which gyro+accellerometer and possibly magnetometer do I need, which is best?

Hi Simon,

As with every design the answer depends upon your requirements.

There are a number of integrated MEMs sensors that would provide you with all the information you need to control your drone, it just depends upon how much accuracy and your timing needs.

Take some time to define what you want your drone to do, look at speeds, aerobatic needs, and try to establish what update rates would meet those needs.

Then you can begin to assess the various devices available.

You would probably be better off looking for and off the shelf controller board with all that functionality already built in.
