im also interested to see the next episode if they are going to make one, these builds show a good varied set of skills and techniques such as case design and layout using the aid of CAD, electrical design and challenges such as how to interface different things or customised input devices...

im not sure how they choose the new format or the three builds they are going to do but honestly I'm disappointed with where the show is going and probably won't be watching in much from now on

    Hello there,

Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, Ben has hit some major snags and he has decided to step back from the project for a while until he can come up with some new ways to approach the problem. He WILL return to the build, but it probably will not be for a while. Thanks for being patient! Even the best hardware hackers struggle sometimes!

    Cheers,

    Karen

    Hi Matthew,

Doing a build a every week was getting to be too stressful and difficult. We constantly get requests to go into more depth into the build process. Because of this we decided it would be a great resource for community members to feature the team's experience showing how a project can go from concept to product. We'll still have other small builds, teardown, and similar content that the show has always had. The old format was causing burnout, which is never good, so we decided to mix things up and hopefully still create some great content that could be helpful to makers and engineers. I hope you decide to stick with us. I think you'll still be able to find some value in the new changes.

    Hey Karen,

Thanks for the response! I'm glad you are moving to a new format. It can get frustrating when you aren't ever allowed to complete a project as you really want to. I'm glad the new format will allow for more detailed builds and more attention to detail. (Have it good or have it Thursday, haha)

As for the N64 build, I know it isn't one Ben is very passionate about (PS nerd), and I'm sad to hear he is in a rut. Could you or Ben do some sort of update with a forum post (videos are lots of effort) detailing where he is stuck?

I think the community would love to help brainstorm solutions to the problem he is having. This is something the community has been begging for, letting them get involved a little more in this way might make people happy... Also, it sometimes it takes an influx of ideas to get out of a creative rut.

Then when Ben is ready to jump back into it for real, he will have some help or at least some inspiration...

    Just my 2¢.

Love the show, keep it up!

    Chris

That's a great idea. I'll look into getting something, hopefully a video update, posted to the community. Thanks for the excellent feedback!
