Help The Ben Heck Team Decide on a Future Build Project!

What Prototype Would You Like to See as a Commercially Available Product?

If you're a regular viewer of The Ben Heck Show then you know a new episode is released every week. What you might not realize is that a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to ensure tight schedules and deadlines are met. If you're working on a project over a longer period of time you have more time to make adjustments. More time means a much more robust design and detailed build.

With this in mind, the Team decided to take a look back at previous builds, select a few of their favorites and build them again from the ground up with a particular focus on and intent to actually bring them to market! We’d like your help in selecting our third long-term build. See the list below, make your choice and let us know why. We’ll start on these projects soon and see which one we can take the furthest!

I would like to see the mini pinball, because its not only the most fun project in my mind, but also very educational to put the kit together and I would spend more time with that pinball machine than…

Ben Heck Mini Pinball machine: I won't pretend I'm not pinball biased, but that aside I think its real value is as an educational kit. I could imagine with some PSD and AI templates you could develop a…

I've been hoping for a minipin kit ever since I first saw it on pinside. It looks to be such a fun project that would allow for some customization. It's not only an educational project but the finished…

    Hello I am Robert Engelbrecht,

I assume your team has plans to do a portable Xbox Scorpio in the future. if so can i help fund the video. I do allot of traveling as a spokesman/recipient for Healpingahero.org and that would be more useful to me in a wheelchair. i assume the consoles around 500-600 and the cost of parts labor.....

if this interests your team send me an email at Egonbones@gmail.com

The interactive Minecraft blocks was my favorite. All of them are great projects. It was a tough decision. Thank you Ben Heck and team for making my favorite YouTube channel.

Although I like the idea of a seeing eye hat - it has limited use (for me). Most of the other items are already commercially available or would need a significant investment in developing a vision of what is needed. For me, the Pinball kit is it. There is nothing like it out there and I have an immediate use - grandkids. If we have the ability to modify the theme artwork and power it from rechargeable batteries, I think we would have a winner. Suggestion: Whatever idea wins, get the forum to suggest the features they would like to see. We may be surprised at what some of your inventive viewers come up with.

I want that seeing eye hat. it would be great for blind people but also you could wear it while playing VR games to keep better oriented and not bump into walls or furnature image. (True good mini pin would be awesome to if its better than those toy pinball machines they make).

Mini Pinball because I want to build one. Could also get some for the local makerspace but I mainly want the kit so I can build it. I'm selfish lol

    Mini Pinball - hands down!

It would provide great opportunities for customisation/personalisation - even 3rd-party add-ons

    Great teaching/educational possibilities as well

The altruistic side of me would say the Seeing Eye Hat. I don't know any vision impaired people personally, but that would be an awesome device that could potentially help a lot of people!

Otherwise, for myself, I'd like to see the acoustic guitar with built in SD recorder-very cool.
