CLOSED: ZX Spectrum Competition : What's your favourite Spectrum game and greatest gaming achievement?

A winner has been chosen: but not yet replied with details! If they haven't replied in 3 weeks then another will be chosen!

What's your greatest gaming achievement?

Have you managed to get to the kill screen on Donkey Kong or Pacman ?

Perhaps you own the fastest speed run on VVVVVV ? Or do you currently hold the greatest score on ninja mode in Audiosurf ?

Perhaps you've taken part in an international DOTA 2 or League of Legends tournament ?
Or just managed to finish the seemingly impossible to some, Manic Miner.

Whatever the achievement, great or small I want to hear about it and what your favourite ZX Spectrum game was or still is. The one I consider to be the greatest or best in a weeks time will be chosen to win an amazing ZX Spectrum satchel/bag and gloriously made mug (don't enter, I want them for myself .... just kidding (maybe ;)).

Favour will be given to those people who post proof of their gaming achievement, maybe with a youtube or twitch.tv video; a screenshot or recording.

Remember, this is your gaming achievement. Not someone else's !

The best gaming achievement will win a ZX Spectrum mug and bag!

The element14 Team will have a preference for achievements which include screenshots/photographs/videos of the gaming achievements; if there's any evidence found that this is not your gaming achievement then the entry will be disqualified. This decision is at the discretion of the element14 Team.

If you are selected, you will be contacted via instant message on the element14 Community site to confirm your details.

Detailed Prizing Info:

The winner will be sent a ZX Spectrum Bag and Mug. Entrants who post up to 10 words describing their project and post pictures/photographs/diagrams/schematics planning their project will be favoured to win the competition.

My best achievement on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum was to complete my favorite game, Knightlore , without cheating or using 'pokes'. Ultimate were definitely one of the best publishing houses of the era and…

My greatest achievements have been earning the trust of my fellow players enough to become a capitol ship fleet commander in Eve Online and a raid leader in EQ2. This is significant to me because you have…

I think my best achievement on the dear old 48K ZX Spectrum was to complete Atic Atac with all three characters - Wizard, Knight and Serf.

My favorite game is Mike Tyson's punch out on the NES.. I finally beat Mike Tyson's punch at the end without any cheatcodes

That game haunted me for years.. http://hackinformer.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/BuXz1g4CUAApxJL.jpg.

I found Paul Shirley's initials in my favourite game Spindizzy. Also the message "hi mum". Can't do it these days without a poke or two so no proof. Delighted to see the brother of Spindizzy coder Phil Churchyard in this section. Spindizzy is my favourite game of course.

I consider my greatest gaming achievement the fact that I got my kids interested in the games I used to play as a kid myself on the Sega Master System.

My brother Phil provided pokes for Crash Mag, he converted Spin Dizzy for the Speccy. I was not a great game player, I was more interested in 'hardware hacking'. Built a ram overlay for the Speccy ROM and video ram shadow and with an Opus One disc interface was able to write a CPM bios and run Wordstar and play Zork adventures.

Biggest gaming achievment: 100% on both Lego star wars one and Lego Indiana Jones. I never want to see a stud again. A bit rubbish but I don't have the time or patience  to try and speed run or high score something. Unfortunately I am too young for zx spectrum but a friend has recently given me his old 128k toastrack model. Unfortunately age has killed the keyboard membrane so my new project is to fix that. He also gave me a z88 with the same problem. He actually designed the electronics for the z88 way back in the day so any questions, please ask and I may pass them on to him.

My first computer was a Sinclair ZX-81, I had to build it from scratch as a kit.

    Good times...

My biggest achievement on games was to daily complete Resident Evil 2 for PSX with both characters in less than 1h30m each without saving, using only the pocket knife and without using any spray aid. I was trying to achiev some special character like TOFU until someone told me that those characters were only available in one version (US, UK or something) of the game that wasn´t mine. I liked the game so much that i kept doing this every single day after school and more than once at weekends until I sold the PSX and games and bought a PS2.
