H2O Potable water holding tank - level sensor

Looking for some ideas to create a simple tank level measurement system. Level sensor, remote (wired) level gauge, and recommended power supply. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Randy

Hi Randy, An ultrasonic sensor and an Arduino work pretty well for this application. Arduino can drive an external meter using PWM, and the whole setup is pretty simple and inexpensive. You'll just need…

Thanks Mathew. Can you point me in the direction of a decent quality ultrasonic sensor thank can withstand being mounted inside of a well-water filled holding tank?

Hi Randy,

An ultrasonic sensor and an Arduino work pretty well for this application. Arduino can drive an external meter using PWM, and the whole setup is pretty simple and inexpensive. You'll just need a 5V @ 500mA power supply.
