Time for a wee poll
Time for a wee poll
I think it would be quite good if you were able to tie some elements of the channels together.
You could start with The Electronics Inside dissecting something, whilst DC to Daylight/The learning Circuit digs into the theory, then Workbench Wednesdays could poke and probe away with the test gear and finally a Project Video on making something new based around what has been learnt.
A new separate deep-dive section perhaps could be started to go deeper into the programming, PCB design, 3D printing aspects of some of the projects. Some projects already have extra footage on that but perhaps it could be made it a bit more educational rather than a fast walk through.
I like the connecting formats idea, it would take a lot of long time planning and has some production risks attached but interesting concept nonetheless. We somewhat tried that with my teletype episodes and some project videos that have a connection ( charlieplexing - Basic- badge - BLE - keyboard + one upcoming episode), but including other hosts/formats would be a new twist.
The "off the deep end" section might be something for a dedicated space on the community and cater more to the advanced/semi-pro/pro engineering members. We often have to leave out the details for time and pacing reasons so this would need a dedicated section anyway.
I think you could also perhaps take a slightly lighter production approach by looking at what content has already been created and then the other channels building on the back of them.
For the deep-dive side, I was thinking more of the educational end. Looking a certain aspects of a build and then exploring it a bit further, adding alternative approaches along with best practises etc.
